About Our Services
What is Home Valet Pros?
Home Valet Pros is a preventative home maintenance and handyman service that keeps your home in top condition - without the stress of doing it yourself. We offer custom, recurring plans built after a Free Home Assessment. You’ll get consistent Valet Technicians, easy scheduling, and honest pricing. Think of us as your home’s personal assistant - proactive, professional, and always on your side.
Where are you located?
We’re headquartered in Highland, Maryland, and serve homeowners throughout Central Maryland - roughly a 35-mile radius from Highland. We do not service D.C. or Virginia. If you’re unsure, we’ll check your ZIP code for you.
Do you service condos or townhomes?
Yes. We service single-family homes, townhomes, and condos - as long as we can safely access the areas that need maintenance.
What if I move?
If your new home is within our Maryland service area, we’ll simply transfer your plan. If it’s outside the area, we’ll close your account with no penalty.
Do you service rental properties or Airbnbs?
Yes - we regularly assist landlords and short-term rental owners with ongoing maintenance between tenants or bookings.
What types of tasks can I request?
If it doesn’t require a licensed trade, we probably do it - filters, fixtures, painting, patching, assembly, seasonal care, and much more. We’ll review everything during your Free Home Assessment and help you build a personalized maintenance plan.
Do you replace my other vendors?
No - we complement them. We don’t replace your plumber or HVAC tech; we handle the routine tasks they don’t at a fraction of the cost, helping you avoid expensive repairs later.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes - Home Valet Pros is fully licensed (MHIC #165083) and insured. All Valets are background-checked and drug-tested for your safety.
Can I request a one-time visit instead of a package?
Yes. We offer stand-alone handyman visits starting at our standard hourly rate ($164.99 for a two-hour minimum). However, members get better rates and priority scheduling.
Why do you offer free service during the Home Assessment?
We include about 30 minutes of complimentary work during your assessment as a thank-you for meeting with us. It lets you experience our service quality firsthand and helps us better understand your home’s needs. There’s no obligation to sign up afterward.
What tasks can I choose for the free 30-minute service?
You can pick up to two items from our Homeowner Essentials List, such as changing filters, cleaning drains, or checking smoke detectors. We’ll confirm which tasks are best suited for the appointment.
What happens after the Free Home Assessment?
Your Valet will prepare a personalized maintenance quote showing the recommended tasks, estimated time, and plan options. You can review, adjust, or approve it directly through your Customer Portal.
Booking & Scheduling
Can I request a one-time visit instead of a package?
Yes. We offer stand-alone handyman visits starting at our standard hourly rate ($164.99 for a two-hour minimum). However, members get better rates and priority scheduling.
Can I gift a visit or package to someone else?
Absolutely – our services make great gifts for new homeowners or aging parents.
Can I request a one-time visit instead of a package?
We recommend 2–3 weeks for preferred times, though we often fit you in sooner.
What if I need to reschedule a visit?
No problem – just give us 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations under 24 hours or no-shows could incur a $99 fee.
Do I have to be home during a visit?
Not necessarily – you can provide secure access instructions and we’ll send a detailed summary after your service.
Can I request the same technician each time?
Yes – we do our best to assign the same Valet for familiarity and trust.
Can I split a visit across two properties I own?
Each visit is assigned to one property so we can deliver quality and efficiency. If you own multiple homes, we’ll set up separate plans.
Can I choose which tasks are done during each visit?
Yes – you control your task list. We send a quarterly maintenance plan in advance so you can add, remove, or adjust tasks before your visit.
Visit Expectations & Flexibility
Can I add tasks last minute before a visit?
Usually yes – if time permits. Otherwise, we’ll help you add time in 15-minute increments at your discounted rate.
What happens if a task takes longer than expected?
We’ll prioritize your top items, reschedule or add time as needed, and always communicate before proceeding.
What happens if my Valet finishes faster than expected?
We’ll use any remaining time to tackle extra tasks or suggest preventative items you might have missed – ensuring you get full value each visit.
What does “labor hours” mean?
Labor hours represent total technician time spent at your home. For example, two Valets working for one hour equals two labor hours. This ensures fair, consistent pricing whether one or two technicians are needed.
How flexible are the plans?
Very. You can adjust tasks, add or remove time, or change priorities each quarter. You’re never locked into a fixed list of services.
How long are the visits?
Visit length depends on your plan and crew size. For example, a 2-labor-hour plan might mean two Valets on-site for about one hour. We’ll always confirm your expected visit duration in advance.
Do I need to provide tools or materials?
No – your Valet arrives fully equipped. You only need to provide materials if you prefer specific brands or already have them.
What if you find something unsafe or beyond your scope?
We’ll document it, explain the issue, and refer you to a trusted licensed contractor if needed. We never perform work outside our licensed scope.
Are your Valets employees or subcontractors?
Our Valets are direct employees or long-term partners who meet the same background, insurance, and training standards – never random gig workers.
Payment & Policies
What forms of payment do you accept?
Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), checks, and secure stored payment methods via your customer portal.
Do you charge monthly or per visit?
You choose: either monthly billing for predictability or per-visit payment after each quarterly service.
When is payment due?
At the time of service (or automatically for monthly members). We always review work and materials first – no surprises.
Are parts or materials extra costs?
Yes, billed separately when we supply them. You may also provide your own to save costs.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes – cancel with at least 48 hours before your next scheduled visit. No penalties or long-term contracts.
What if I switch from monthly to per-visit billing later?
No problem. You can change your billing preference anytime – we’ll adjust your future invoices accordingly.
Do you charge for estimates or extra time?
Estimates are always free. If you want additional time added to a future visit, we’ll confirm the added cost at your discounted member rate before proceeding.
Is tipping allowed?
Tipping is never required, but if you’d like to recognize great service, your Valet is welcome to accept a gratuity.

We don’t sell equipment or big-ticket repairs, so our advice is unbiased. We exist to help you understand your home and make informed decisions – not to sell you more.
Why wouldn’t I just use one of your competitors?
Other options either send freelancers or lack professional processes. We offer a licensed, insured, white-glove experience with predictable pricing and consistent Valets.
Why can’t I just sign up online?
Because your home is unique. The Free Home Assessment ensures we recommend the right plan and time commitment for your specific needs.
Is the Free Home Assessment really free?
Yes – completely. We’ll inspect your home, discuss your goals, and even perform about 30 minutes of complimentary service as a thank you.

What if I need help between scheduled visits?
Members get priority scheduling for off-cycle handyman requests. If something pops up between visits, we’ll fit you in as soon as possible – ahead of non-members.

How do I access my Customer Portal?
After booking your Free Home Assessment, you’ll receive a secure link to your Customer Portal. From there you can view estimates, invoices, visits, and maintenance history.
Will I get reminders before each visit?
Yes. We’ll send reminders 3 weeks, 3 days, and 1 day before each service so you can confirm, modify, or add tasks easily.
